used to make dreams. now makes financial statements.

  • the Jimmy Eat World show yesterday was fantastic. I was hesitant to go to the show because I stopped listening to JEW years ago, so imagine my joy upon finding out that they were actually doing a set commemorating the 10th year anniversary of Bleed American. They did all the songs I wanted to hear, and did this for the encore.

You know how you don’t hear a song for so long that you actually forget that it exists, and when you hear it after more than a decade you realize you know all the lyrics? This is what it was like listening to Goodbye Sky Harbor. I looked for the song the minute I got home and realized that it wasn’t on my iPod, even though I ripped everything from a CD. It’s probably one of those bonus tracks that they hide in between track codes, which explains how long it’s been. if you do have the track please e-mail it to me — notradio@yahoo.com. It’ll be a nice thing to have handy in case of sadness.

One youtube commenter said it best : “Close your eyes during the ending. This is what it must feel like to fly.”

  • when I was a teenager I had the biggest crush on this girl. she was beautiful without even trying, liked playing with knives, and had the most awesome hair. there was a 7-second scene in Hackers i’d play on loop (you guys know what i’m talking about), and I’d even watch crappy movies like Foxfire and Gia because she was the epitome of cool for me.
she also doesn’t really exist anymore.
