the Jimmy Eat World show yesterday was fantastic. I was hesitant to go to the show because I stopped listening to JEW years ago, so imagine my joy upon finding out that they were actually doing a set commemorating the 10th year anniversary of Bleed American. They did all the songs I wanted to hear, and did this for the encore.
You know how you don’t hear a song for so long that you actually forget that it exists, and when you hear it after more than a decade you realize you know all the lyrics? This is what it was like listening to Goodbye Sky Harbor. I looked for the song the minute I got home and realized that it wasn’t on my iPod, even though I ripped everything from a CD. It’s probably one of those bonus tracks that they hide in between track codes, which explains how long it’s been. if you do have the track please e-mail it to me — notradio@yahoo.com. It’ll be a nice thing to have handy in case of sadness.
One youtube commenter said it best : “Close your eyes during the ending. This is what it must feel like to fly.”
