This is the another variation of my gig poster for Quark Henares’ film Rakenrol.
I’m really excited to watch the movie once again and watch the bands play after. It’s been a while since I’ve gone out and listened to bands live. I miss that.
Cynthia Bauzon-Arre’s art for the Eraserheads’ Fruitcake blew me away in 1997. Since then she’s been the innovator for Philippine Alt. Rock album art, having done covers for the Eraserheads (Natin 99, Carbon Monoxide, Sticker Happy), Sugar Hiccup (Womb), Fatalposporos (Paper View), Sandwich (Grip Stand Throw and Four Track Mind) and Ciudad (Hello! How Are You, Mico The Happy Bear?), among others. I met her in ‘98, and since then she’s been a dear friend and the only person I consider my ate twin. This is her poster for Hapipaks at Mag:Net High Street.
Arnold Arre is hands-down my favorite Filipino graphic novelist. I’ve been following his work since Batch 72 and Mythology Class in College, and so it is with great honor that I present to you his poster for Hapipaks at Bagong Silang Elementary School
